Thomas Brown & William Hart (both of the parish of St John, Southwark, Surrey) in the parish of Llandyrnog on 29 December 1775 burglariously entered the dwelling house of Arthur Bennett and stole therefrom 122 ounces of silver plate, value £30.10.- (WALES 4/58/5).  Their execution was ordered for Monday 22 April.  Adams Weekly Chester Courant Tuesday 30 April dateline 29 April "Monday last executed at Ruthin TB and Charles Martin alias John Hart."
